dr Monika Płońska, President of the Green Industry Foundation, participated in the panel discussion "The Future of European Sustainable Development" alongside Prof. Witold Orłowski and dr Mikołaj Troczyński from WWF Poland. The discussion was moderated by Robert Łukomski from the Institute of European Thought.

- "By introducing initiatives such as the Omnibus proposal and the Clean Industrial Deal, the European Union is not changing its objectives—it is adjusting its approach because the implementation of those objectives was poorly planned. As a result, achieving them may become even more challenging. There is also no clear strategy for what comes after 2030. We still lack effective levers to drive further decarbonization across sectors such as industry and agriculture. The regulator's declarations of support for businesses have outpaced the actual mechanisms put in place. This initially created enormous pressure due to the unprecedented pace of new climate regulations and the need to comply with them. Today, it has resulted in uncertainty and confusion caused by the suspension or deregulation of many of those measures," said dr Monika Płońska during the discussion.
