Is Generation Z really the most climate-conscious generation in history? Or is their approach to climate change more nuanced than it is often assumed?
The Green Industry Foundation, in partnership with the Sobieski Institute, is conducting research into the climate awareness and environmental attitudes of Generation Z—individuals born approximately between 1995 and 2010.
This is the first generation to grow up in a world where climate change, the energy transition, and sustainable development have been part of public discourse from an early age. At the same time, they are the generation that will increasingly shape social, consumer, and economic decisions in the years ahead.
The findings will be published in an expert report, which we hope will become an important contribution to the discussion on the role of young people in the green transition. Because the future of the climate depends not only on technology and regulation—it also depends on the mindset of future generations.
