The Green Industry Foundation is a partner in the new international project "Education on the Road", which aims to develop and implement a micro-credential system (Open Badges) to support adult learning. The initiative is primarily designed for people aged 55+, senior citizens, and adults with limited access to educational opportunities, for whom flexible and practical learning pathways offer a genuine opportunity for personal and professional development.
The "Education on the Road" project focuses on helping adults acquire the competencies needed in today's rapidly evolving digital and green economy. Its goal is not only to strengthen digital and green skills, but also to foster motivation for lifelong learning. Open Badges will serve as a tool for recognizing and validating learning outcomes acquired through both formal and non-formal education. The project also emphasizes inclusive learning mobility, ensuring that people of different ages and skill levels can participate in educational activities in an accessible, practical, and engaging way. An important aspect of the initiative is supporting educators by providing practical teaching materials, lesson plans, and tools for validating learning outcomes.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. Together with partners from Poland, North Macedonia, Italy, and Finland, we are developing practical solutions that empower adults to build the competencies needed in a modern, digital, and sustainable world.
