Innovation for a Cleaner Environment at GreenPact

During this year's GreenPact 2025, Dr. Monika Płońska, President of the Management Board of the Green Industry Foundation and Green Saving Scheme S.A., participated in an expert panel dedicated to modern environmental technologies and methods of reducing pollution.

As part of the discussion, "Innovation for a Cleaner Environment: Modern Solutions in the Fight Against Pollution," Dr. Płońska presented the practical experience of our teams in integrating environmental monitoring and reporting (MRV) with organizational decision-making processes, applying satellite data, laboratory analytics, and digital validation tools, and developing responsible certification standards within the GSS CERT system.

"The key is to use carbon offsets wisely and communicate their value transparently. Through our innovative system, we support Polish biogas plants, which often operate on the edge of profitability, because we see both their purpose and their tremendous potential. A small biogas plant with a capacity of up to 2 MW can avoid up to 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, while five hectares of forest absorb only up to 25 tonnes of CO₂ per year. Today, we are likely the only organization in this part of the world working with biogas plants to offer companies the opportunity to offset their unavoidable emissions while simultaneously investing in biogas production in Poland," said Dr. Monika Płońska.

She also added: "Together with our scientific partners, we are currently developing the GSS CERT Agro system, which will offer a competitive alternative to existing solutions by combining automation, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and satellite data in the certification, reporting, and verification of carbon offsets."

The discussion highlighted the importance of cooperation between academia, industry, and public institutions in building a coherent data infrastructure and implementing solutions that genuinely contribute to emissions reduction and improved environmental quality.

Our participation in GreenPact 2025 was an important part of cross-sector dialogue and an opportunity to present the innovative environmental and sustainable technology solutions we are developing.
